The Construction Supervisor is the Project Manager’s main connection to the project. The Construction Supervisor is heavily involved in planning, organizing and controlling the project. The CS is responsible for supervising employees, subcontractors and vendors on the job site to ensure the project proceeds on schedule while maintaining a safe work environment. The CS helps determine the labor requirements and dispatches workers to the job site which makes leadership and planning skills very important. In addition to overseeing the project, the CS must also have good communication skills to coordinate with the Project Manager regarding job progress, inspections, delays and additional work completed.
